Become an HBR Member
Membership in the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® is open to brokers and salespersons of real estate as well as industry professionals in related businesses. As a member of HBR, the local real estate board on Oahu, you automatically gain membership to the Hawaii Association of REALTORS® (state level) and the National Association of REALTORS®.

REALTOR® Member:
Licensed real estate brokers and licensed or certified appraisers who are associated with an established real estate office in the state of Hawaii.
REALTOR-Associate® Member:
Licensed real estate sales persons and licensed or certified appraisers who are affiliated with a REALTOR® member.
Affiliate Member:
This category is for individuals or firms who, while not engaged in the real estate profession, have interests requiring information concerning real estate and are supportive of the Board's objectives.
Individuals licensed or certified to engage in the practice of real estate who do not elect to hold REALTOR® or REALTOR-Associate® membership in the Board may join in this category, provided they are engaged exclusively in a specialty of the real estate business other than brokerage of real property.
Institute Affiliate Member:
Institute Affiliate membership applies to individuals who hold ALC, CCIM, CPM, CRE, or SIOR designations or a class of membership in one or more NAR commercial Institutes, Societies and Councils (commercial Affiliates) that confers the right to hold office. The NAR commercial Affiliates are: the CCIM Institute, the Counselors of Real Estate, the Institute of Real Estate Management, the REALTORS® Land Institute, and the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®.Institute Affiliate members join the REALTOR® Organization at the national level through one of the commercial Institutes, Societies and Councils affiliated with the National Association.
Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Subscription:
Access to the HBR Multiple Listing Service is available to members who are REALTORS® or REALTOR-Associates® and are affiliated with a firm that also subscribes to the MLS.
Membership Dues/MLS Subscription Fees:

Membership Dues are pro-rated throughout the "dues year" which runs from January - December. MLS Subscription Fees are pro-rated throughout the "MLS subscription year" which runs from July - June.The MARKS: REALTOR®; REALTORS®; REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®; and, the REALTOR® Logo
The National Association is the proud owner of numerous marks including but not limited to the terms REALTOR®, REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®, REALTORS®, the REALTOR® Logo and the Block "R" mark (which may be referred to collectively as the "MARKS").
The Marks are collective membership marks which serve to identify Members of the National Association and distinguish them from non-members*. Since 1916, when the unique term REALTOR® was first "coined" or "invented", the public has come to recognize those who use the MARKS as Members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and, as such, providers of real estate related services consistent with a strict Code of Ethics and the highest standards of professionalism. Member Boards**, through their use of the MARKS, are recognized as Member organizations.
Members are licensed by the National Association to use one or more of the MARKS in connection with or in reference to themselves and their real estate businesses.
