Licensees are required to complete 20 hours of approved continuing education courses for each two-year license period (January 1 of odd-numbered years through December 31 of even-numbered years); also referred to as the licensing biennium.

Licensees intending to renew their license on an active status by the renewal deadline of November 30 (even-numbered years) must complete 20 hours of approved continuing education courses during the biennium. The required continuing education hours include five (5) hours for the commission designated core course, which may be offered in a two-part format or as a five (5) hour core course, and fifteen (15) hours of elective credit hours.

Continuing Education

Honolulu Board of REALTORS® has partnered with both ProSchools and The CE Shop to provide online continuing education (CE) courses to all Members. Providing online CE courses offers more opportunities and convenience for Members to fulfill CE Requirements, as instructed by the Hawaii Real Estate Commission.

REALTOR® University - NAR Online Designation Courses

Honolulu Board of REALTORS® has also partnered with REALTOR® University, offering classes that can be used for many REALTOR® designations and REALTOR® certifications. *Additionally, select courses offer CE towards your license renewal.

Check your CE Status by logging on to the Hawaii Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs Online Real Estate Education website:

1. Visit https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/rece/app/welcome.html
2. Log in to your eHawaii Account. (If you have not already done so, sign up using your Legal Name to create a free account.)
3. Link your Real Estate License to your eHawaii Account.
4. Click the link on your license to see "My Status" and that you have completed 20 credit hours of Continuing Education (2.5 CE for Core A, 2.5 CE for Core B, and 15 elective credits.)
5. Reminder: Complete your license renewal prior to the commission prescribed deadline of November 30, 2014.
